Nosso hotel tinha 3 peculiaridades além de um preço razoável em novembro. 1. Proximidade de um Shopping Center que tinha tudo, onde fomos comer imediatamente uns sanduiches e fazer compras numa
farmácia. ii. Tinha um PUB logo embaixo, no porão do hotel. Bastava descer e de noite tomamos umas cervejas gostosíssimas iii. Era em frente a uma estação de trem, prático para passear em cidades próximas num transporte romântico.
A cidade é cercada no centro antigo por 2,5 km de muralhas medievais, com arquitetura renascentista preservada, tendo sido destruída na guerra dos 30 anos de 1618 a 1648. Foi uma das maiores cidades alemãs e era rota obrigatória para o sul da Europa. Visitamos as lojas Kathe, onde compramos alguns pequenos artigos. Fomos a Markplatz e andamos pela Obere. A praça é muito ampla, bonita e cheia de turistas. Infelizmente estava bastante frio, e isto nos impediu de passear ao ar livre e conhecer melhor a cidade. Na sua saída, num dos portões de Rothenburg ob der Tauber, vislumbramos o rio Tauber e foi tudo muito bonito.
